A Good Guy Greg post.
You're 40p short at the coffee shop. Greg pays and never mentions it again. Not once, not even as a joke. You will owe him for the rest of your life, which he also never mentions. He borrows your drill and returns it charged, with the right bit back in the case. You didn't know it had a case. Greg found it. You know nobody at the party. Greg notices, walks over and introduces you to three people as "the funniest person I know". You aren't. You become it, for an evening. Greg replies to the group chat. Within the day. With an answer to the actual question, including a time. People like Greg hold whole friendships together and get thanked never. **Why it caught on:** a smiling young man with a joint in his mouth on a red and yellow background, made in 2011 as the answer to Scumbag Steve. Nothing Greg does is heroic, which is the point: it's a small thank you to the people who make ordinary life easier.
